Subscription Terms

Plom Pro subscription terms

Last updated: 26 June 2026

These Subscription Terms explain the planned Plom Pro launch model and how subscriptions will work when billing is enabled. Plom Pro billing is not live in current beta builds, and no payment will be taken until App Store billing is enabled in the app.

Free tier

Free access includes real value: Home, Calendar deadlines, Best Next Step, wellbeing/support, onboarding, account settings, and one active assignment with review and work-plan support.

Plom Pro Monthly

Planned launch price: A$8.99 per month. The App Store purchase sheet will show the final price, renewal details, and local tax handling before you confirm.

Plom Pro Semester Pass

Planned launch price: A$24.99 per semester. This is the planned hero offer. Final renewal or expiry behaviour must match the App Store product configuration shown before purchase.

Pro access

Pro unlocks unlimited active assignments, full assignment review, full rubric and feedback tooling, full work plans, higher AI limits, and premium tools.

Billing through Apple

If you buy Plom Pro in the iOS app, payment is charged through your Apple ID using the payment method connected to that account. Apple manages billing, receipts, tax handling, cancellation, renewal, and refund requests according to Apple's terms and App Store policies.

Always review the App Store purchase confirmation sheet before buying. The price, billing period, renewal or expiry behaviour, trial details if any, and subscription group shown by Apple are the terms that apply to that purchase.

Trials and introductory offers

Plom is not launching with a guaranteed free trial in the current pricing contract. If a trial or introductory offer is added later, the app and App Store purchase sheet must clearly explain the offer, duration, price after the offer, and how cancellation works.

Restore purchases

Once billing is live, the app will provide a Restore purchases action so you can refresh App Store entitlement status for your Plom account. Restore purchases does not create a new purchase. It asks the App Store and Plom's entitlement system to re-check whether an eligible purchase exists.

Managing and cancelling

App Store subscriptions must be managed through Apple. Once billing is live, Plom will link to Apple subscription management from the app where possible. You can also manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

Cancelling a renewing subscription stops future renewals but does not necessarily end access immediately. You may keep Pro access until the end of the paid period shown by Apple and Plom's entitlement state.

Expired, cancelled, and billing issue states

If a subscription expires, is cancelled, enters a grace period, or has a billing issue, Plom may limit Pro-only features until entitlement status is restored. Free features remain available unless Plom needs to restrict access for security, abuse, legal, or operational reasons.

Account deletion is separate from cancellation

Deleting your Plom account does not cancel an App Store subscription. If subscriptions are live, cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings before or after deleting your Plom account. Account deletion removes Plom account data as described in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, but Apple may retain purchase records under Apple's policies.

Refunds

App Store refund requests are handled by Apple. Plom support can help with account or entitlement troubleshooting, but Plom cannot guarantee a refund decision made by Apple.

Changes to pricing or plans

Plom may change plan names, prices, features, limits, or availability before or after public launch. Any live App Store subscription change must follow Apple's required customer notice and purchase flow.
